Marco's Pizza
Tucked away at the corner of Preston Rd and Royal Ln. in Preston Hollow (Dallas), Marco’s Pizza is a Dallas landmark. Known as the oldest pizzeria in Dallas, the first pizzeria was opened in 1956. Catering to the North Dallas community, this family restaurant is a must when shopping in the area or just when you are wanting a quiet place two.
I often come here with Marshall and we enjoy the solitude of Marco’s. A great take out place, more often than not, you will see patrons picking up their pizza or a pizza guy running off for delivery. Their pizza is thin sliced with a wide range of possible toppings.
In 2009, D Magazine had Pizza by Marco voted Best Pizzeria in Dallas. Marco’s was mentioned in The Preston Hollow Advocate Magazine as one of the best places in Preston Hollow to have lunch under $5. It’s true. I stop by and get a huge slice of pizza and a Diet Dr Pepper for $4. iFratelli’s was my favorite pizza by the slice joint until I found Pizza by Marco’s. The wait is usually no longer than 10 minutes.
