Social Media Club Dallas started the year with a spectacular event at Ghost Bar. Gleaming from the 33rd floor of W Hotel, Ghost Bar hosted first event of the year for SMC Dallas.
Attendance at SMC Dallas events has soared over the past year. Once again tickets sold out. I believe much of this has to do with SMC Dallas’ growing popularity and recognition in bringing important well-known speakers, generous sponsors, and popular venues.
Mike Merrill, President of Social Media Club Dallas opens the evening with thanking the crowd for coming and introducing the night’s speakers.
Natalie A. Johnson of was the guest speaker and she did not disappoint. Natalie is Digital and Social Media Communications Manager at The Coca-Cola Company. Natalie presented Coca-Cola Company’s Expedition 206. A trio of individuals were selected online by voters to be “Happiness Ambassadors.” The expedition involved 206 countries in 365 days to find out “What makes you happy?”
The evenings discussion topic was the Growing Impact of Social Media on SEO. The panel included Tom McCracken of Level Ten, Jerod Morris, and Tony Wright.
As the evening progressed, the crowd enjoyed appetizers and drinks from Ghost Bar and photographer Jared Rey was at hand to capture the night’s celebration. What more does Social Media Club Dallas have in store for us this year? Seeing how well the year’s first event went, the events to come will sure to be incredible.
